Wyoming winter

Wyoming winter - 03/31/19 02:11 PM

For you all, venturing up for a hunt this year, we've got some winter kill issues popping up in antelope and deer in certain parts of the state.
I would contact the biologist for your hunting areas and see what they have to say.
Shirley Basin has some antelope winter kill and it may get bad.
Our snow pack is very good right now though and that means good water for forage.
Elk seems to be doing fine for the most part.
Most of the state is just fine but you may want to check on your deer and antelope areas before the app deadline.
We woke up to 14 degrees this morning so spring is still around the corner.
