Hey all

New guy here, live in north DFW area, recently re-discovered my passion for hunting from my youth growing up on a farm (it's been sort 20 years since I went shooting). Looking for advice and input! I'm planning to start with getting a 22LR or air gun for varmint shooting, I live close to one of the Denton county public hunting areas so I thought that would be a good place to start. Anyway, hi everyone glad to be here and happy hunting.

Welcome to the forum. If you're looking for a good .22 to start, It's awfully hard to beat a Ruger 10-22 or a Marlin Mdl. 60. Don't be afraid to hit the pawn shops, you can get some really good deals if you really look. If you want to spend some more money, Henry makes some really nice lever action .22 rifles.
