Big Russian bear

Big Russian bear - 01/02/18 07:09 PM

These pictures just showed up on my in box from a friend. That's all I know.

I suggest not hunting bear in Russia.

Careful: Not for children nor weak tummies.

Evidently this Russian bear killed 2 people...maybe more.

Looks like a couple of hikers had a really really bad day.

I didn't google it before I posted it. I'll give it a try.

When I’m in grizzly country, I’m pretty much in denial about what they can do if they so choose. Because I probably wouldn’t go otherwise.

Healthy bear. It appears he's been feasting well....

Wow, didn't see that coming. Humans aren't always at the top of the food chain.

Forced perspective much?

What's really interesting is the added pic here that shows a 2016 date...
https://imgur.com/gallery/ORddp
Yet it is claimed to be an Alaskan bear in 2015...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzELYcNXjfQ

Strangely, there is no news story to support the claims. The hiker(s) body parts are strangely unrealistic for a bear kill. Notice the lack of damage to the head and lack of bite or scratch marks on the body, leg, etc. This isn't a person who fended off a bear attack.

You can find the story of two hikers killed in 2017 by a bear in Russia, but not with the pic above of the supposed body parts. We know that the "giant" bear was killed in 2015 or before, so it has nothing to do with the 2017 story.

Now, Rogen's post does show another body and the guy looks like he has fought a bear and been eaten, but obviously it can't be from 2017 and the dead bear above that has been dead for years now.

This site shows the bodies and a different bear, but from 2015...

Interestingly, this story (if you translate it) talks about the problems of authenticity and the fact that it is claimed from multiple places.

I find no actual news stories of this event despite finding other bear attack stories in the news.

I would argue that the forced perspective bear images, bodies, and story do not belong together and that this is a hoax.

That was one BIG bear!

Re: Big Russian bear - 01/03/18 03:05 AM

Could be the same bear. Claws look different on the two bears, one looks short, blunt other looks long curved. Forest in the background look different..... could just be taken after they moved the bear but it’s the internet!

Here's what I see:
A lot of forced perspective
Maybe a little Photoshop
At least 3 different bears, possibly 4

Re: Big Russian bear - 01/03/18 06:15 AM

That is a humongous bear but those pics of dead hikers are not real. Bears do not swallow large body parts whole. That looks like people who got bit by sharks.
