sons NM antelope

i did some tractor trading with a guy in NM and ended up with two antelope tags for my boys. my oldest son is a bow hunter but he took this guy with a rifle i built him a couple of years ago. its a trued and lightened 700 in .308 with a pac-nor barrel and pillar bedded in a boyds. both boys shot their antelope with a 125gr speer tnt at 3000fps. this one was shot at a little over 340yds after we belly crawled a couple of hundred to get into position. the tnt does an outstanding job at that velocity. the goat is a good one (my son is a BIG kid. 6'9").

aside from being my hunting buddy and farm hand, he is being recruited by several D1 schools to play ball including WEST POINT and the AIR FORCE ACADEMY! neither of those schools have ever been to our small town and he will be the first kid to come out of here on a D1 scholarship! oh, he also got a 34 on his ACT!!! to say i am proud of him would be a huge understatement.
