So...I've got the 95qt. Pelican, Shawheel's 100 qt. Cabela's, and one of my 120qt. Igloos in the bed of the truck. That still ain't enough space for two bull elk (I try to think positive), even if they're processed, is it? Might could fit the 100 qt. Igloo I rescued outa the neighbor's trash in the cab. 'Probably taking a hitch carrier.
One week + a day to departure. All help appreciated! (I'm missing an 8' bed.)

A Pelican 150, Pelican 80, and Bison 50 barely fit two cow elk.
And that's no head and capes to bring back, just meat.
You can put a Rocky Mountain bull into 2- 120 qts pretty easy if it's boned out and cape.
I put my elk minus cape in 150
The bull I took last month filled a 110 qt yeti, 100ish qt igloo, 75 qt yeti and most of a 52(?) qt ozark. That was all processed, vacuum packed and no ice. The processor said his hanging weight was 505 lbs.
You could stack the coolers and strap them down if needed. That’s what we were going to do but we had more than one vehicle.
You don't have enough coolers unless you loose a lot of meat! Put dry ice on top to keep it frozen.

Yeti 250 holds a bull without deboning
, not including the cape.

Plenty of room for cape in there.

Oops I forgot to pick up my cape again... lol

There is room, but I wanted plenty of room for ice

When I killed my red stag bull it took a 100qt icehole, a 65qt icehole, and a 45qt yeti to get all the meat on ice.

200 qts per bull is a good number.

I like it.
Leaves room for meat, cape, and ice on all.
Processed vs. not processed will make a big difference as to what you need. Processed and frozen brick hard means 1)much less room needed and 2)no ice needed if the trip home is less than a day or two. The meat will still be rock hard when you get home.

Haha I bet you don't just grit your teeth and grab that out of the pickup by yourself, cool pic.

We are taking two 120qt igloos for meat and three island breezes for food. The small coolers will be empty on the pack outand we will use those if we need to haul the meat home.

2 150s is what I carry for an elk, plenty of room for one quartered enough for ice. Keep the cape separate for the ride home, a bull elk can be a nasty critter Wallows and rut habits can make for a nasty hide.

I have a couple 150qt older ice chests I use for elk, plenty of room for meat and ice. I will use another cooler or just salt down the cape/hide. Elk can be some nasty critters and I do not want the outside of the hide in contact with the meat I plan on eating. Wallows and rutting scrtivities but a lot of smells and potential bacteria on the hair and I do not plan on eating any of that, if any ie melts and it usually does then if the hide is in the meat cooler your prize meat is soaking in a not so good mixture.
