Lease license question!

Lease license question! - 06/13/17 02:34 AM

Ok, I know that a lease license is supposed to be displayed on the lease (Timber company land)! My question is, can I send a copy of it to each lease member so that it is on their phone in case the game warden needs to see it, and does this count as "Displayed", or do I still need to physically display it at the lease?

From the rules...

The license shall be displayed on the hunting lease. Display of the license on any tract that is included
in the lease license complies with the statute. For enforcement purposes, landowners may be
encouraged to display a copy of the license on the other tract(s), but this is not required by law. Display
could include being placed on the premises, such as in a mailbox, in a camphouse or on a fence post,
or in the possession of an individual (who displays the license to a game warden on request). It is not
necessary for each hunter to carry a copy of the license.
In addition, the hunting lease license number
could be displayed on a gate at the lease, which would enable a warden to obtain license information
through the Department POS computer system.

Sending a copy to each lease member is not going to meet the requirements. Just post the license as required.

I have never displayed a lease license, I carry it in my wallet. Warden has asked to see it only once years ago, now he never ask.
