We have been consistently checking game cameras basically weekly since August. Do you think we should check them this weekend or just wait for the bow opener?

This is your last chance to check and see if they are in a pattern which could help you decide rather to hunt morning or evening or both and where to sit.

I say do what you have to do, deer tolerate minor disruption every day from one thing to another, they live in a fluid world. If you are there a lot, they are more tolerant IMO. I only think avoiding their bedding areas is probably the most disruptive since it is their "safe zone".

I say check them as often as possible. My opinion is that the more you're there the better. The deer get used to my presence by the time season starts. I"ve got some that get checked daily. I'll check em at dark on friday before opening day. Let the deer get used to hearing my 4 wheeler so they won't think it's anything odd when deer season starts.

Any time I'm at my feeder, whether its fixing the coon cage or filling it up, I'm checking my camera.

Check the camera, always exciting to see what is there. Not much activity on ours now. There is a bumper crop of acorns on the ground expect that is where they are feeding.

I am probably going piss off some people but, this has got to be way up on the list of dumb questions. If you want to check it then check it. If you don't then don't.

Who knew Adam Sandler wrote this skit based on the tales of an Ibex goat from Bandera County:
