Thieves! - 10/12/15 08:46 PM

If anyone in the east Texas area of Marshall or Jefferson know of or see a new Cabelas 4750 generator, green with electric start or a Still brush cutter for sale let me or Harrison County sheriff know. Someone broke into my barn at deer lease off Hwy 43 north and took mine sometime between Wednesday and Sunday morning. Tried to get 4 wheeler but gave up. This generator was brand new and hadn't even been used yet.

put trail cameras up anywhere you have property - cheap way to monitor

Keep an eye on Craigslist people tend to put stuff on there instead of taking stuff they steal to a pawn shop

Sorry to hear. There's a guy that got my wife's grandparents for a $85,000 welding rig and some other equipment just north of linden. It could be related. Pm me if you want more info, could be same guys

Probably somebody who lives close around there. I worked at the wildlife refuge in karnack for a summer and we had a guy steel a dozer and drive it across an fm road to his house tracks were not hard to follow some folks are not real smart

OHanlon87, I live near Longview and will keep an eye out.
Duke4456, I remember when that happened. Hunted the refuge the last 3 years but no gun hunts there this year.

Yea there are some huge deer at the refuge if I didn't live so far away I would definitely bow hunt out there. Wonder why they stopped the gun hunts.

sorry to hear

I have a guy on my lease stole stuff from me on his last day out

his name is John Wayne Wilson, he lives in Fort Worth, TX near 820

I know his address .... the amount is not worth pursuing legal means but it's around $300

If I caught him in the act he would have been in a world of hurt

Darn, It's hard enough keeping the crackheads from stealing from you, but a guy on your own lease. That's just about as low as a man can get.

You'll get your stuff back. And the thief will get what he deserves
