Been settled in the stand for about 30 minutes waiting on the hog that broke my G C. My pet mouse is keeping me amused. Found a fresh rub walking to the stand. Dead quiet right now. I've got my SniperRAB starter kit with me. A cold 'Blue moon', or three.

Was gonna' hunt the big field but my knee is hurting. Didn't feel like walking a half mile.

Two doe just came trotting by like something was chasing them. They'RE gone now

EK the rest of us have to work long hours and long weeks. Don't torture us.

I need to do Mucho tree trimming. I can barely see my oat patch. Spanish oaks have a few acorns this year. My first hunt of the new season. More of a recon mission.

Shooting at them is the fun part. If you hit them then that's when the work starts.

Thank goodness I missed. 170 yard shot, dark, they looked about the size of a basketball. Dove everywhere. I should have brought the shotgun. I didn't check for blood, too snakey out tonight. Beats sittin' at the house

Tomorrow is another day. Starting to feel like fall, at least until next week. Forecast calls for Temps in 90s.
