Hello,Just moved to the Plano area for work and have been following this site for a few weeks now. Just stopping in to introduce myself as I'm all to familiar as to how these forums work. Back in Bama you had best have some pretty thick skin to roam those boards . Anyways hope to meet and learn a few things about hunting in the area ( respectfully of course) thanks

Welcome to Texas.....having been to 'Bama multiple times and enjoyed much it has to offer, I think you will like it here.....well, all except for the traffic since you are in a metro area the size of which is not common to your former home.

From a smaller town just north of Tuscaloosa. Got 500 acres of family land about 45 minutes away that a grew up on. Primarily bow hunt deer and Duck hunt . Graduated from Auburn and will be coming to Texas as a GM for a landscape firm in Plano . Appreciate the hospitality as I literally left everything I've ever known back home with the exception of my dog / hunting buddy .

Also looking to continue some hobbies out here so if anyone plays golf , shoots bows, train dogs, drinks beer , so on and so forth let me know.

Go to the migratory section and ask if there are still ducks on Lake Ray Bob or Fork and a good spot to hunt this fall
