Anyone hunt commerce Texas for deer or hogs

I have a farmer that has offered a lease to me in Commerce Texas. Anyone know this area?

I have hunted NE of Greenville. That area is known for hogs, waterfowl, and varmits. The deer hunting is hit or miss. I suggest walking the property if he is offering you a fair opportunity. There is no way to know without seeing it.

There is some deer around Commerce. It depends on where the land is located. I lived in the country west of Commerce for 6 yrs. I never saw a deer but there were hogs and varmints. There are some spots inside the city limits where I see deer all the time. About 10 yrs. ago there was a big buck that stayed right behind Walmart. That said there are other areas where I never see deer. If I was you I'd look it over real good if your main intent is deer hunting.

I have a place just east of commerce and one west of commerce. I'd say it depends on the specific location, but yes there are deer there...

Test drive it. Can you put cameras up first before paying if small acreage? Should be hogs at least. Not sure on deer but heck we have a deer season in Dallas county now and never seen one here except on video.

I live about 15 miles east of Commerce on 50 acres and see deer every day in my yard. I also have a 100 acres about 2 miles from my house I hunt on and have never not seen deer there. I'd be happy to share pics of some deer if you PM me your number. Not "South Texas" but some pretty good genetics out here. Like stated previously, it really depends on where at around Commerce.

Alot will depend on managment of previous hunters. Here its been buck only since lived here. Years ago tried get 1 doe permit. Told not enough deer. Hogs were hitting feeders & deer food plots. So concentrated on hogs. Recently it went ta 4deer county. It doesnt take an English Major ta figure out place could be over hunted. So stayed with hog hunting the other wild game . Dogs been keepen the hogs on the move. Got some good pics on cam around late Sept.-first part of Nov. of deer. Lots of brows on ground deer not showing up at feeders nor plot. That a 4deer county? Always see does by the river on 118 in commerce. i had a group of hogs coming in regularly when i had my feeder going but they started tearing up my fences so i took the feeder down.
