FoxPro Furtakers. Interesting show they've got there. They just shot a gator with a bow, then snagged him with a rod n reel, then stuck him with a trident, and finished him off with a .44 revolver. I'm sure that was fun, but it didn't seem very efficient. All they lacked was a club.

No judgement. I've just never seen anything quite like it.

Done it except no trident. Shot one with two arrows then hooked with large hook on a rod and reel, got him to boat then killed him with a .410 slug. Quite a rush.

Baited hook. Went back next morning, pulled up 'gator and shot with .41 mag revolver. Easy peezy. Not that big, 8', but a female. They said it was big for a female. They also call me "lady killer".

Most of our gators seem to already have shed their fur.

That's not shed. That is gator-mange. It has been reported at length in a couple of the more notable wildlife journals. I am surprised you had not heard of it.

Don't quite understand why people on a fur show are hunting gators or why a guy named pigman has half of his shows dedicated to hunting other animals.

Ever watch a fishing show and it is all about the fisherman playing golf or bowling? I mean, there all sports, right?

That's right. And if you see a gator in the daylight it could mean he has rabies.

Giving someone a camera and a free hunt is the perfect recipe for a TV show.

I thought all you need to kill an alligator was a .22. What was that show that all these teams caught alligators? I seem to remember they all used .22 to put them down after they checked their bait hooks/snares or whatever.
