Lost My Benchmade Griptilian...

Apparently we parted ways while clearing 2,200' of fence line. Looked for it but could be anywhere 20-30' either side. Durn it! It was a Griptilian 551S.

So, I liked it. Made really well. Held an edge. Nice hand to it. Customer service is outstanding. I'm assuming I'll replace it. That is, unless you guys have any recommendations for a better quality $100 folder.

I lost my favorite knife a while back. Looked everywhere for it. Turned out that I had sat in a low leather chair and the knife slipped out of my pocket and was down between cushion and chair. I had metal detected outside and looked everywhere possible. Would never have found it, but my neighbor came over and listened to me whine for a while and he said he'd lost his in his chair. I ran back in the house and there it was - down in that gap.

You WILL find that knife, but not till you buy the new one.

I haven't quite finished this project and continue to keep an eye out for it. Won't replace it until I move to the next project.

Don't feel bad I have lost 2 of them tracking wounded deer. Its bad when they could be anywhere on 3k acres.

HA! Found it! Shiny part on the clip called me. Bent over to check out what was shining at me and "My Knife!" It was stomped into the dirt but A-OK other that being dirty. Glad I didn't replace it...

Great find!! Lucky... I have two of em, one std blade and one with the serrated blade. Always been a Benchmade fan.
I hate losing a good knife! I left a very nice Olsen on top of a mountain in Colorado after gutting an elk. I think I know right where it's at but it was a one way trip packing him back out, no way I was gonna hike back in there to look for the knife. I always said I would make it back to that spot some day and find that knife but that was probably 15 years ago!

I left the same knife on my tailgate and drove off from my land once.

Terrible feeling, because you absolutely have to replace it, but they're just expensive enough that it's not fun.

I've probably tried about 20 different knives as my edc and the griptilian is my favorite. Very well made.
