Mow, It wasn't when I was in LE that I recall, but I understand some county's have adopted a 10+ acre minimum. I was told Parker Co, was this way from folks that said they where notified by deputies when they where out shooting. Might try a quick call to the SO.

I know in the county i live in (Montgomery) it is against the law to discharge a firearm on anything under 10 acres, now as far as hunting with a bow/crossbow, i do not know.

The county I live in requires 10 acres to hunt. It is allowed, though, to "pool" properties. Say I have 5 and my neighbor has 5. We can give each other written permission to each others' land and we can both hunt our own 5 acres legally, and with the written permission can cross the property line to retrieve downed game. If you're in a "10 acre" county that allows that, you could contact the owner of the surrounding 300 and ask permission to "hunt' just to be able to hunt your -10 and possibly retrieve game. I'd make it clear to them that you really have no intention of hunting their place, you only need the permission to be able to legally hunt yours. Call the county Sheriff's office. This isn't a game warden issue. If anyone complains about shooting it will probably be a Sheriff's deputy paying you a visit, not a game warden. Good luck, sir!

Check on the county.Collin county has no minimum as long as you're not in a subdivision and are outside the city limits.Straight from a constable.

Sometimes you have to give the deer time to find the corn and change their pattern.

mow, run a corn trail from corners of property to feeder; deer (bucks) will find feeder faster. put mineral block out too!
good luck - show us the 'after' pics . . ..

I hunted on a 3 acre solid brush property my dad owns. Every year i called the county game warden to talk to him about if it was still legal. He said that in wilson county it is legal to hunt on small properties unless you are in a subdivision or in town. I hunted with a bow. Never had a deer run out of the property but i only killed 3. If it would have gone on neighbors properties i did not have permission to get them though. they hated that i hunted there. They said they were their deer and i shouldnt shoot them. I even had one land owner call the game warden on me for hunting on a small property. the game warden showed up and figured out i was the one who called him about hunting on a small property and checked my tags and stuff and left on his way.
