Seminole, Tx mule deer hunt - 11/26/14 05:36 PM
Leaving tomorrow morning for my first ever mule deer hunt. I am an avid white-tailed deer hunter but have never been muley hunting. Lucked into a permit with a guide on 3000 private acres. Can anyone let me know what to expect or offer a rookie mule deer hunter some advice? They have taken some nice muleys off this place the last couple years so I'm pumped. Thanks!

There are some monster Muleys in those sandhills so don't shoot the first decent buck you see. Good Luck and take some photos.

Awesome deer! I was out there southwest of Seminole on the edge of Gaines and Andrews Counties. My wife's cousin farms about 14,000 acres out there and I covered as much of it as possible. I saw one doe...but about 5 miles from me, a guy shot a big buck that went ~215". That's the way things go out there. Which direction from Seminole were you hunting?
