Looking for new hunting partner

Looking for new hunting partner - 11/16/14 03:29 PM

Well, I am looking for a new hunting partner. I have a few friends that I hunt with, but just are not as avid as I am about it. I try to go about once a month for just about anything within 3 or so hours from here. Deer, pig, deer, etc.

I have been hunting for about 2 years, have a truck and gear so I'm all set at that end. Just a little about myself, I am 25, work as an Account Executive in Grapevine and live in Roanoke, TX. I'm married with no kids and my wife works every other weekend so I generally schedule my trips while she is working.

Looking forward to meeting some new people!

Welcome Jordan, glad to have you around. There's plenty of your age group hunters in the DFW area, hang around, join in conversations, and there will be opportunities.

cheers we always did family hunts. nice ta have some one ta chat with that enjoys time spent wondering about the woods. whin kids were too small, did lots of solo hunts. wife worried, twas back before cell phones. rofl hunting public land was way safer than place worked. it a safer place ta work now. accidents happpen though. just like hunting. think the toughest part for young hunters here in texas tis finding place ta hunt. years back first lease cost less than $1.00 a day. heard it had hogs hitting deer feeders. 24-7-365 ta hunt & do some grillen & chillen. Credit adviser said bad investment. the bills were from buying old house, terring down & redoing. reparies ta junk truck for driving back ta work, so, wife & kids could have half way decent car typical cost of living for 4 we were a LOW, LOW income family. kids didn't know it. if deer stepped out & legal grillen & chillen. every one has moved away, so it had been solo hunts for last 13 years, give or take. public land, WMA tis were usualy find me doing solo hog hunts. theirs some good ol boys on here from DFW area that hunt, & have had good times on camp outs. best wishes, safe hunten. & hope ya find some one ta pard up with on here. some good peoples on THF keep your head held high & your powder dry flag

eek2 Avid hunter that goes once a month? Sorry dude but not my interpretation of an avid hunter. Hope you meet some buddies that are passionate enough to hunt more than that. confused2 Good luck to you.

I hear ya. I have a few friends that "hunt" but every time I've invited up to my father in laws lease they've bailed on me. I guess they just aren't as into it as I am. I'm 29, a physical therapist. Let me know what you have in mind, I've been itching to go on a hog hunt.

So since when is an avid hunter required to go and hunt a certain amount of days per month? He already stated he is limited to every other weekend. confused2

Well, I'm headed to the DFW area in Jan and I'm looking for a hunting partner. I'm a bit older but have done a bit of hunting. If you can help me in TX, I can help you in CO.

I go duck hunting after I get my deer. If interested in ducks, send me a pm. (I hunt deer/hog on private land, no guests) I hunt ducks, dove and some deer on public
