Black Panthers are real, but the color gene is not indigent to Texas..the ones in Texas were imported and some got released by folks who thought having a Mountain Lion as a pet was Cool..Most
Mountain Lions in Tx come from Mexico and are " Ball Tailed" and yellow..We have a Black Cat out around Potranco Rd near the National Gun Club..it's been seen many times..but I'd guarantee you it is not a native cat..DD
