How did your hunting go this weekend? - 02/25/13 04:35 PM
This weekend we managed to help a little girl and her dad a Wounded Warrior take a Ram but that is not what we accomplished. What we accomplished was to give a dad a day he will never forget with his daughter. We managed to make a little girl smile so big that is burned a memory for her dad and me for all times. That is what hunting is. Hunting is taking a son and his dad out and letting them stay at the cabin and watching the fire. Then waking up and hitting the stand to take an excellent Ram. Not because they harvested an animal because even the Army's best of the best needs to spend a weekend with his daddy. Young or old hunting with someone you love is the hunting I like most.
HWOH had a fantastic weekend we did 2 Father Son/Daughter Ram Hunts. One was for a 10 year old little girl to harvest her first animal with her dad a current member of the Wounded Warriors out of Fort Hood and one was for an active duty military member and his father who served many many years on the boarder as a Boarder Patrol Agent.
We also had the chance to share some time with Jody who helps me out on our hunts while her son was able to take a nice Ram as well:
That is a pretty successful weekend of hunting. At least that is a pretty successful weekend of hunting for HWOH.
