Anyone belong to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation? Pros-Cons as welcome.

Cons--Another annual membership fee
Pros--good magazine, very good banquets/fundraisers, I believe they do alot of good for elk habitat and elk populations (but obiviously not much done in Texas).
My opinion is the National Wild Turkey Federation does more to actually help wildlife and hunters than all the others. Dont take that as a bash to the others because I belong and suport all of them as well.
I really really would love to hunt some of their endowed ranches.

they have neat banquets and the beer is cold leading up to the auctions.
I was a member for about 15 years and always attended their banquets. I dropped out several years ago after they drug their feet for too long over the wolf reintroduction plan the tree huggers rammed down our throat. RMEF was silent for way to long on this issue. RMEF is leading the charge to reduce the numbers of wolves in the lower 48 states today but the damage has been done. Wolves have decimated the Yellowstone herd and have greatly reduced the elk numbers in Idahoe and Wyoming. Just my .02 Baker
