Just arrived at our cabin in Angelfire NM and having an adult beverage. Going to meet our guide at 5:00 pm and see what the plan is. Elk season starts tomorrow for us. So hopefully I will get to share good news in the next 5 days. Talk more later.

Just seen 21 elk. 2 bulls and the rest cows about 50 yards from the cabin. Looking promising.

You do know they don't allow hunting within 1/2 radius of the cabin

We have literally seen 300-400 elk by driving and meeting with the outfitter and comIng home tonight. Seen a nice 160's mule deer by the cabin a mInute ago. Hoping for a good hunt.

Me and my buddy tagged out tonight. 3 minutes apart. He shot a 5x5 and me a 6x6. Will post pics later. We are beat arse tired after packing it off the mountain. Still had to leavs 6 quarters strung from the trees we have to get tomorrow.

Just got done packing the remaining 6 quarters off the mountain. Wow thats alot of work. Well worth it. Couldnt be happier. Will post pics monday or tuesday when we get home.

Lol, bet that was fun.. Our 4 guys called at 8:00 Thursday night when they got phone signal saying they needed help and I wasn't back in town until 4:15 that morning after getting 4 off the mountain.. Congrats on your bull, hope it hooked you!

We used Premiere Hunts of New Mexico out of Eagle Nest. His name is Art Orthman. Great time and we are booking again for the first of Oct next year.
