Cabelas had a bunch of RIO's in the store for $64.99 a case a couple weeks ago.
I noticed that they no longer have them on their website though

I can't find them anywhere, but online. Natchez Shooter's Supply has them. My favorite shotgun shells. Not sure why Cabela's quit selling them.

Tell us about these shells. Why do people like them so much?
Because they're reasonably priced and perform well.
The gun shop in Gatesville carries them.

Re: RIO Shot gun shells - 09/24/10 08:11 PM
So I guess there is a noticeable difference in performance than say a lower priced shell like winchester or remington?

Able's. shipping is not bad at all. when you add in the shipping it is actually a little cheaper than the few stores i have found them. just purchased 20 gauge 2 3/4 inch no. 8 shot, 1 oz 1250fps came to $6.35 per box including shipping

Star Arms and Pidgon Rd in Stephenville both carry them. They're really good shells but you can't reload them. For some reason they won't take 209 primers. But that's the only problem that I have with Rios.

Texas Outdoors on the Weatherford Traffic Circle in Fort Worth carries them. Had a ton in stock before dove season started. Not sure if they still do.
If you're in Fort Worth and want to deal with a good local store, go check that place out. Good, good people.

Thanks Everyone... this is helpful... i am in Justin and Weatherford is close enough to drive there... i iwll check them out...

Actually, its the exact opposite. For comparable performance shells, the Rio's are 20-30% cheaper. Maybe more.

Dealer locator:
http://www.rioammo.com/buy.htmlLooks like Carter Country has them in Houston, also Tomball Pawn and Ammunition-to-go in Brenham. Ammunition to go is $62/case + shipping. I wonder what Carter Country is asking for them?
Edit: Looks like Ammunition to go has a good price on Fiochi dove loads. Anyone ever try those?
