Display format changed

For some reason the display format for the forum changed this morning on my iPad. At every level, even down to threads, I get the “Main Menu”, “Advertisement”, etc. on the left side. Previously, those were only present in the top-level forum view.
This takes up considerable space in threads-particularly with pictures.
I can’t find an option in “Preferences” that remedies it. Any suggestions?
