Bent axles? - 09/25/23 11:14 PM
On my way through New Mexico last week on the east side of Albuquerque I hit a bump in the road, more like a curb than a bump, or maybe a crater.
It damaged a tire on the truck, and the axles on the trailer appear to be either bent or out of alignment. The front driver tire on the outside, and rear passenger tire on the outside are both wearing bad. After about 1500 miles they are now showing metal. I can’t visually see any damage to the axles or hangers or springs, and haven’t taken a tape measure to it yet. The hit was hard enough to cause some pain in my back.
Can trailers be aligned? If so, who east of Dallas can do it?
