We got a little over 2”s here so far and it’s still raining pretty hard. It’ll be stupid humid here when the sun comes up,

I'm jealous. The rain from summer time cool fronts are dang near always just to the north of us so we get nothing again bang

We were just on the edge and didn't get much. The farm however is in NE Fannin County and got a bunch of rain there. Still raining now.

It’s nice and green in Coleman County, my tanks are full, little insects everywhere for the baby quail and turkey, we got a good rain Friday night, cool all day Saturday, I don’t think it got out of the eighties.

This current storm hasn’t moved an inch in over an hour, I’ve never seen one sit stationary before but it’s dishing out the lighting and rain. Crazy [censored] Texas weather never disappoints,,

Finished baling hay and hauling on about 600 acres Sunday. The rain will definitely kick off growth for second cutting. Couldn’t ask for better timing. God is good.

Had plenty in Wood Co. and could use a break from mowing every 2-3 days!

My yard crew showed up at 8:00am on the dot. My yard if like your Chris. They have a huge mower and the wet grass stopped it several time. The blower guy had to blow the wet clumps of grass over the yard. They hate my yard. Maybe another round tonight.

They could have bailed it.

Two boats were damaged at Hidden Cove, down the street on Lake Lewisville. Authorities said it was a "water tornado" confused2

Went to the lease Sat morning and just as I was 20 min away, it started raining hard. Stormed all day until around 6pm an we got right at 2in of rain. Couldn't work until the next day and even then, half the area was under water. Was hot and extremely humid and I ended up squeezing 4 days of work into 3. Home now and pooped!

Re: When it rains... - 07/05/23 11:44 AM

We got 0.2" just east of Longview but a couple of mile to the north of us got over 4" in a very short time. I will say the lightening show was spectacular and the nice cool outflow from the rainstorm dropped the temperature close to 20°.
I will take what we can get in summer.

Wonder if our cool front will make it down to you all, we had rain yesterday/last night and it is in the 40's this morning.
Hope you all get some much needed rain and a cool down.

Probably not, high pressure supposed to move back in next week. Hotter, drier in the forecast. We head North end of next month.
