Sux’s. They had to stick me so many times to get it that I may be leaking who knows what.

Bad veins? Dehydrated? Why couldn't they get everything with one stick and just keep changing collection tubes?

Darn, that sucks. I give a pint every 60 days and blood work monthly it feels like. Veins are trashed from all the sticks. They always have to move the needle constantly to continue the release. I leave there bruised and sore for days.

I’ve been having blood work done once a year for the last ten years there’s definitely an art to it. There’s not much worse than a tech that sticks you then starts moving the needle around to find the vein.

Have them draw it off the top of your hand. A smaller needle so a little slower but the veins are right there. I have deep rolling veins in my arms so the hand is where they’ve done it for the last 10-12 years.

Are you fasting for the blood draw? If so, you may borderline dehydrated.
Ask the lab how long you are supposed to be fasting for, then be sure you tank up on WATER at that mark.

An extra trip to piss at night beats them digging in my arm for 5 min, but YMMV
