For me it’s the Shawshank Redemption, the last movie I ever watched with my dad. He really liked it.

Junglebook (cartoon version). 'Only movie I remember my dad taking me to, just him and me.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 'cause we had to walk out of the movie theater, in the middle of it, in Fredericksburg (yeah, it actually worked at one time) on account of we had my step-grandmother with us and there were two unmarried people in bed together in the movie.
Alien. 'Saw it opening night in Highland Park, so crowded my wife (at the time) and me couldn't sit together. That was some scary....the movie, not her, well, not then at least.

True Grit. First movie I ever saw and it was out of the back seat of our family station wagon at the drive-in. John Wayne became an instant hero in my eyes. Thought it was one of the best movies ever, and still do to a degree.

Bonnie and Clyde. A movie my Dad took me to see. My Dad grew up in that era. Also, had some distant relatives who were robbed by the real Bonnie and Clyde.

"The Deep." My parents were in Bermuda during the filming and had pictures of some of the sets, boats, and actors (Nick, Jacqueline, etc.).
Also, "Brothers at War." The only movie I've seen that captured the some of the true essence of our presence in Iraq.

Jaws
We had a friend named Robert who was surfing off Big Sur in California, a huge Great White knocked him off his board and then came back and bit off both of his legs at the hip.
We started calling him Bob after that

My wife would say it was Bonnie and Clyde. She grew up in North Louisiana, and her high school Home Ec teacher had been abducted by Clyde and Bonnie for a short time. And I’ll mention that the Bonnie and Clyde Museum, just off I20 in North Louisiana has some pictures of the two you have likely never seen - pictures of them while they are being embalmed. Not the greatest museum ever, but worth a visit once.

Varsity Blues
Not the best movie but I love it. Mox's girlfriends house belonged to my grandparents.
My grandmother passed away during filming. The film crew were so good my family throughout.
I watched Vanderbeek throw a football at a piece of plexiglass about 40 times before he hit it dead center to simulate breaking his dad's nose.

That was a great movie, I thought I thought Mel Gibson played the part well.

Midway here as well. It was the only movie my dad and I went to. Meant a lot to him as he fought in the Pacific during WWII.

Battle Cry (1955) . They used actual US Marines as "extras" and my Grandad was one of them; and although he said he wasn't happy about doing it for free, I think he was kinda proud to be part of it.

the Sixth Sense, yes, a great movie, but as we were heading out the door to drive to theatre, wife's water broke and first kid was born the next morning. It was almost a decade later when we actually got to see it... on television.

There is a movie out there called "Up the Academy." It was filmed in Salina, Ks. I was a street cop there when it was filmed in late '79. We got pretty good money for being security there for the filming. There is (was, I dunno cuz I never watched it) a scene with a guy hanging on to the hood of a white cadillac as it was being driven wildly around a field with the intent of throwing him off. I was that guy.

Pretty cool. 'Can't believe you haven't watched it. I take it Salina is the film capital of Kansas?

Deborah Foreman, right? She was super cute...probably still is. I remember her being in one other movie about that time, Real Genius, and then she disappeared. Had forgotten about her, but she was my hearthrob girl at the time.
