The older I get, the more I notice old men that I DON'T want to be like. Bitter, vindictive old men. One just recently moved away.
This may come as a shock to some of you on here, but some, even OLD, men can lie through their teeth on the internet. I want to be able to listen, and actually care, about another, younger, person's life. And...not drive around with my mouth hanging open. That's my goal.

She never said "no" to me either...
She just, picked up her purse, and went to the local bar.....
I too, have lots of injuries cause by her.....

Not being able to trust a fart anymore.
One of the 3 rules that you should adhere to once you turn 60
1. Never pass a bathroom when you are on a road trip even if you think you do not have to go.
2. Never trust a fart.
3. Never waste a H_ _ d on.
I do not care how old or young you are, sometimes chit happens.

Declining muscle strength really, really bothers me at 69. Five years ago I had no problem tossing 160 lbs. onto the tailgate of my truck. Now, I'm limited to about 100 lbs. (Yes, I had my T level checked and it's right in there,)

X3 - I am 69 and in very good physical condition - but I can just barely rub my arm or hand against something and I get bruises - looks like I was in a fight
I remember when my Dad was older seeing the same thing on his arms - thin skin I guess

Buzz's bowels issues got me to thinking...that's another complaint I have - having to figure out what's the next food I have to give up that has little seeds in it, so I don't have problems. Gave up blueberries. Now HEB makes a couple of breads that are the best I've ever eaten, but, no-no, there's itty-bitty seeds that like to rip me a new one.
'Probably the beginning of diverticulitis.

Not an old man, but after J&J got sued over talcum powder, they all switched to corn starch and you can no longer buy a decent ball powder. I have to buy it by the case from the U.K., and it still isn't as good as gold bond used to be.

I fill my water softener salt every two months, takes about 8 bags. Unload in the driveway, then carry two bags at a time thru the garage and down into the basement. The loads last week about killed me! When I got all done and was throwing the empty bags away, I saw where the SOB's changed the weight of each bag from 40 to 44 pounds. I just thought I was really getting weak!!!

Re: Old Man Complaint List - 07/21/22 01:31 PM
Reading other's comments, I guess my complaint is common. Bruising on arms. We have a two year old Anatolian Shepherd that loves to play fetch and tug. Even a light brush of her paw will leave a bruise on my forearms. I'm also pulling out a bunch of old crossfence and the wire makes me look like I've crawled through a briar patch. Doc put me on one a day baby aspirin a year or so ago and that is when I first started noticing the bruising.
Other than normal aches and pains, the other old man ailment I sometimes face is Gout. Holy moly is it miserable. I seem to have a flair up about once every couple of years, so not a regular thing, but when it happens, incapacitating. I have stopped with the Surf and Turf which has helped I think. The combination was a killer, and it stinks cuz I loved steak and lobster...

I’m 79. That doesn’t bother me. It is a privilege denied to many.
When nature calls, it gets urgent quickly.
I work out a lot. I’m trying to not let the old man in.
Sex drive is gone but still appreciate a short skirt or low cut blouse or sweater.
