This is not a book recommendation but hopefully some will find this info helpful. So recently I found out that most if not all public libraries offer free access to their digital library via Overdrive. You can access the ebooks or audiobooks using the Libby or Overdrive app installed on your phone or tablet. I've always preferred a real book but I've adjusted to reading ebooks and have listened to a few audiobooks in the truck. They also have magazines and comic books in digital format available to check out as well. The libraries pool their resources based on the geographic region and allow you to get access to the other digital libraries within their region giving you tons of options.
Pros
1) I'm not collecting stacks of books to figure out how to garage sell or donate.
2) Save some cash flow to buy me some $10 bags of corn.
3) It saves your place switching between your phone and tablet.
4) You don't feel bad having spent money on a crummy book.
5) You can peruse through the books from the comfort of your recliner.
Cons
1) Works on the same library check-out idea so a book you may want to read could be checked out.
2) Some libraries require you to go in to show ID to get a card.
3) Sometimes a title will be available in one format or the other and not both.
For the OP, the link to the Seguin Library is:
https://www.seguintexas.gov/my_library_card/index.php and it looks like the library card process is all online.
If you don't want to do an application for a library card or if there is a title you can't find through the library,
https://www.readanybook.com/ is another great alternative. It's free and you can access it from your mobile browser. You have the option to create an account and download the ebook but I just choose to read them in the browser and not create an account.
