Yellowstone series

Yellowstone series - 07/09/22 06:20 PM

I’ve heard it recently referred to as woke.

Woke definition: alert to injustice in society, especially racism.

I’ve not seen much of that except for maybe the Indians and possibly those environmentalists.

Why is it woke?

I have seen every episode multiple times and have seen nothing woke.

I agree. It’s not even close.
Looking forward to season 5.

If somebody gets woke, they will be taken to the train station.

Season 4 essentially neutered Rip and Casey. Casey spent the whole season naked on a mountain top finding his inner spirit animal. You have John bailing out and banging activists and Beth turning in her badass to be an orphans mom. Taylor Sheridan’s macho act is so over the top he has to be a closet queer. I expect there will be mo’s in the bunkhouse for the next season.

I watched about 20 minutes of an episode. Some white boy went on a vision quest. How do y'all watch this hokey chit?

In season 4 Beth made her adopted brother kill his father. I’d call that pretty gangster.

Don't forget they turned that Goofy Butt Ugly Jimmy into a ladies man and sent him off to the 6666 to be a stud cowboy loco

I don't see anything woke about it. I will say the music in the first season was on point with Whiskey Myers, etc. and it seems to have dropped off a little. I've been a viewer since it premiered, and will watch it until it goes off.

Only saw a few episodes as I don't have the channel at home, didn't seem "woke" for the few I did watch. Must be perception.

Did get to see all of the 1883 series, liked it better and it was filmed around parker Co which was pretty cool. It didn't seem "woke" either.

Re: Yellowstone series - 07/11/22 03:45 PM

I've never really saw the show as woke, except for Costner's character hating and insulting "God" as usually.
There were a couple "protest" scenes in season 4, but that was just so that Costner's character could make a new enemy/friend and sleep with her one night. She was the main protester.

Also, every show or movie he/Costner is in, produces or directs, his character has to "hate and insult" God.
Is that "woke"?

Beth's "power and hate" speeches are still beyond "laughable." Her character is such a joke.

Season 4 was horrible, at least to me and my friend who have been watching since season 1.

Jimmy was "crippled," but a truck ride from Montana to Texas cured his entire body, and now he's a "real cowboy"!

I'll watch season 5 for the horses, the mega ranch with 25 cows, and for the one timber wolf. The animals are my favorite...oh, and Jamie's awesome hair! IN65

Most of the best scenes on the show are filmed in the bunkhouse.

Wife and I made it through about one episode. Found it silly. Not for us.

I have to laugh out loud when they add in all the excessive horse noises...but that seems to the be case of any show that has animals in it. Some dumb dumb that's never touched grass in his life is in charge of sound.

We've enjoyed it for the most part and didnt find it too Woke. After 2 seasons, I came to hate Beth and hope she gets killed off. She is exhausting.

Lmao. That was a good one!

The show was entertaining at first then they jumped the shark….made it too unbelievable and therefore unbearable.

Livestock officials gunning down rednecks in the middle of the street and nothing comes of it after.

The premise of someone always after the ranch is tired.

Casey’s wife is an awful character

And then there is Jimmy…….from bumbling halfwit to super puncher ladies man in a matter of month…come on
