Gas prices

Gas prices - 06/01/22 04:53 PM

Local QT regular gas yesterday was $4.17. This morning it's $4.45. Did something happen somewhere in the world last night to justify this increase?

Re: Gas prices - 06/01/22 05:33 PM

No.
QT is usually a little on the high side.

Lowest prices I saw in Waco yesterday were: gas at $4.04; and diesel at $4.66.

Re: Gas prices - 06/01/22 05:59 PM

4.04 at the QT in Conroe, yesterday.

Re: Gas prices - 06/01/22 06:05 PM

Around here gas prices always go up 10-15 cents on Tue night/Wedn morning and then drop a few cents daily until the next week when the cycle starts over. .28 cent rise is usually associated with some event.

On Monday morning it was $4.14 in Van Alstyne. No telling what it is now.

Re: Gas prices - 06/01/22 06:32 PM

The highest I paid for diesel on my Idaho trip was $5.79. I believe that was right along the highway in Colorado Springs, CO.

Re: Gas prices - 06/01/22 07:32 PM

I paid 3.99/gal at QT in Waco (passing thru) on Monday afternoon 5/30. other places there averaged about 4.08 that day,
and the lowest prices in DFW metroplex were at least .20 higher, when we got back up here.

Crude oil is over $115/bbl now. Fuel prices change every day at the refinery/rack based on the day's trading on Wall Street.

$4.09 in Sherman this morning, passing back through on my way back to work from lunch and it had shot up to $4.49.

Hopefully the neighborhood walmart by my house will hold out at $4.09 until I get off, I need gas only have about 94 miles until empty.

Hopefully this was a sarcastic comment. You can blame them all you want, but most should know by now they do not set the prices. Yes, they do benefit from it obviously.
