Haven't watched them lately. Remember back in the day when the Rockets, Spurs, and the Mavericks were on often. Knew the name of most of the players.

Brunson and Maxi stepped up big last night. Everybody was counting on either Brunson and Dinwiddie to have an exceptional game and Brunson was money from the tip. Nobody could have expected Maxi to get it going, it's been a rough go for him this spring. 8 3s though- he was clutch.

Don't have to play till Thursday, hopefully that gives Luka enough time to be back. We need him in SLC.

Brunson had a career-high 41 points, and Kleber had 25. Clutch win. I hope we have Luka back for game 3.

Great win on the road

Haven't watched them much lately. Generally I'm in for anything that is round.

That was a complete team win last night. Getting huge production from the bench in Maxi, Bertans, and Green. Bench accounted for 49 points (compared to only 14 in Game 1). And to not wilt away when the Jazz cut the Mavs 17 point lead down to 1 says something about the mental fortitude of the Mavs without Luka.

I wouldn't be surprised if Luka's still not out there for Game 4, but the team knows they can win without him in a very hostile road environment if he's not able to play. If he can play, obviously that's a huge benefit for Dallas.

Maybe they can give Luka some floor time in Game 4. This is some impressive basketball by the Mavs.

They played really good defense as well, holding the jazz to only 77 pts. Luka 13 defensive rebounds lead mavs and jazz, I kept checking his stats during the game, because seemed like every play he was pulling down a def rebound.

Another great team effort. That game-winning attempt by Bogdanovich was a little too close for comfort. Wow- that was a wide open look that he normally makes.

dang, I don't know if the little Mavericks can steal one game.

PHX was shooting lights out the first 3 quarters, just an incredible display offensively. Unfortunately for the Mavs, we've got no answer for Ayton. He dominated inside and has a great mid-range game, as well. Dallas is going to have to find a way to get Dinwiddie more involved, he has not been good in the playoffs.

Yep, we are light against Phoenix, they definitely have depth. Tough schedule, hopefully Luka can get some help in game 2.

It was not a blow out. They kept it within reach, they got it to 5 points with 7.2 seconds left in the game, shots were just not going down for the mavs. Had the mavs made their shots late in the game, they could have won.

Luka is playing great, we need the rest of the team to make more shots, and they need to up their defensive game.

Base on regular season tho, the Sun's are the best team in the league, and score the most points.

The press is not giving the Mav's much hope against the Suns, that's for sure. Luka needs help.

The media knows crap, noone knows, they go off historical data like like anyone can do. It will be interesting to see how they do in game 2. The Mav's just looked off from the beginning in game 1, they missed their first several shots, fell way behind to start the game. When the Mav's are feeling it, they have a chance, I bet they bounce back game 2.

Pretty much what it boils down to. Mav's even took a lot more shots that then Suns. End of the 4th, all the Sun's shots were going in. I went to bed when it all fell apart in the 4th qtr, too hard to watch.

Mavs really put the nail in the coffin at the end. I listened to most of it on the radio.

One of the guys on TV a few minutes ago said Phoenix has not lost 3 in a row this season.

After Game 2, things looked incredibly dire for Dallas. What a turnaround by the coaching staff and the players to get this series tied up. Even when Luka wasn’t at his best, the rest of the team was clutch.

If they win the next game, that will be so awesome, just to shut all the talking heads up!

All the ESPN analysts predicting a sweep last week after the Sun's went up 2-0 need to eat some public crow.

The real key for the Mav's to continue to win is simple. Someone other than Luka needs to show up each night. Luka will always get his 25-30 points and average 10 rebounds and assists. Jalen or Spencer or Maxi or Dorien (lot of options there) need's to step up and contribute 20+ as well. I like the Mav's odd's at this point. They've figured out how to shutdown Chris Paul, and Booker is too immature to make up the gap that leaves.

He is 18. I know exactly who he is- he used to go to school with my son. This is what his side of the story is. It sound like a lie and it doesn't add up to the Mavs official statement saying that only ONE person was involved in the altercation, there is no video of the other guys getting ejected, and CP3 is yelling directly at him as he is getting ejected.

They had a good start, then it fell apart after first QTR…

That 3rd quarter was brutal. It was over after that when a 3 point halftime deficit quickly grew to 22. Luka got his 28 points, but he was mostly ineffective in creating for others (Finney Smith 8 points, Bullock 0 points, Powell 0 points, Kleber 4 points). Dinwiddie was horrible in the 3rd quarter- he's been mostly absent in the playoffs.

Gotta forget this one and play better tomorrow.

On another note, Joel Embiid acting like a little B again cuz he’s not going to win the mvp over jokic for the second year in a row. His words to the media: whatever fits the narrative.

I just read the full quote from Embiid. I don't think it's anything to be too critical about. He had a Hell of a year and there are 3 guys that could have rightfully won it. It's a big deal to win MVP and he's upset that he did all he could to win and didn't get the award.

I agree. All three had a case to win MVP, but his comments weren’t bad. And I think he deserves the award this year.

We were there last night- the AAC was full and loud. Unfortunately, if only 3 guys on the whole team can make shots, it's just not going to work. Luka, Brunson, and Dinwiddie accounted for 86 points...the rest of the team scored 14. Kleber and Bullock were 0-15 for 0 points. And again, GSW killed us on the boards.

It was a good run. First priority is resigning Brunson. Next priority has to be getting a big man who can rebound and play defense. And it's easier said than done, but they somehow need to dump some contracts (Bertans or THJ) to create some cap space to get a legit All Star caliber player on this roster.

You would think many would want to play for Dallas and Luka.

The lack of income taxes has been regurgitated ad nauseum for decades, but it's never amounted to any big time free agent signings for almost all of the pro teams in Texas. In the NBA, if they don't resign with their current teams (which can offer them more money than anyone else), the big free agents most often go to LA, Miami, or NY.

Everyone likes Dirk, he even took a pay cut to get talent here. He did have a really good team around him when they one the championship, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, JJ, we also had our big guy Tyson Chandler.
