20% increase in cost of auto insurance - 04/06/22 11:19 AM
Anyone else seeing a substantial increase in the cost of their vehicle insurance coverage? Is this just another result of high inflation? No claims on my end.
Makes me wonder what the new rate for my home coverage will be when it renews in June.

I can agree when I hear the taillights on new vehicles can run over $1200 to replace, not including labor.

House went up almost 50% when it just renewed. No claims ever. Cars went up about 20-25%. Nothing I can do about it even after shopping it still didn’t find a better rate anywhere else.

I just renewed my auto policy with Texas Farm Bureau and it had a pretty good jump from the last renewal. My agent told me they had an across the board increase in all coverage and if other companies have not increased yet, they soon will. I have bundled all my coverage with TFB to get the best rates I can. Auto, home, farm liability, barn, shop, equipment and implement coverage, the whole nine yards. Insurance is our biggest recurring expense.

Insurance is also our largest expense. Auto, home, health, life, business liability. Ugg.

Just redid home and auto yesterday with new provider. 20% reduction in home and 35% in homeowners. Went with Farmers.

I got an auto-renewal on our vehicles from Geico in March. Actually went down. I'm not looking forward to my homeowners renewal later this year. Despite never filing a claim in 20 years, I'm expecting an increase.

That's who I just left for Farmers. Saved a few bucks but got much better home coverage.

30 years is 28 too many. Need to shop every other year in my opinion.

Mine almost doubled...like less than $80 from doubling. I had MetLife through my professional liability insurance. Farmers bought their auto policies and holy cow was I in for a rude awaking. I am now with State Farm. It is a bit more expensive, but less than $100 over 6 months more, so not bad. They were the cheapest around. No claims, no tickets, credit rating is the same.

Progressive raised the insurance on my travel trailer by about 40%. I need to file a hail claim from last year and then get rid of the insurance.

Just wait until you see what happens to your health insurance. Those rate increases are going to curb stomp the auto insurance rates.

I switched my home and auto insurance this year. I didn't ask some important questions I should have. NOT looking forward to these increases.
