Prefer a Bun myself but don’t mind a Pho on a cold day.
Don't forget the spring rolls!
Good stuff and good chopstick practice...

When I have a cold I’m sure to get a bowl of pho loaded with every spice on the table to clear the sinuses.
But my wife hates that I use proper English to pronounce it. Fow

I made some bone broth from a few doe carcasses. By "some" I mean 4 gallons. Made some pho with it a couple weeks ago. Pho king tasty.
I’m out, just don’t get it
I’ve been driven to the “best place” in Saigon and Da-Nang. I don’t hate it, just don’t want anymore.
Pho’kn love a good bowl of pho
I enjoy it, I applaud the amount of work it takes to make the broth, a lot of ingredients go into them and tons of time.

If I had to drive that far for good Pho I probably wouldn't bother either.

Pho is on the monthly rotation for me. Sometimes I’ll have it 2 or 3 times a month. It’s a wonderful dish.

I guess I’m behind the times. Never even heard of it.
I like pho without the pork belly. I know many who love it, but I just don't like the slimy texture of pork fat. That said, a hot bowl of pho with Sriracha a cold day to clear your sinuses is satisfying.
I'd eat that

Are you supposed to wear a man bun while you eat that or......?
Pro tip, the egg rolls are great wrapped in lettuce and dipped in the nuoc mam.

Bland chicken noodle soup with a bunch of unusual fresh greens in it. They will bring you a few of those small red peppers if you ask..... that makes it much better

Looks great man.
Not Pho (which I love) but just made a big pot of spicy Mexican Caldo (my way). Added caramelized onions, green onions, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms to the traditional ingredients.
Chicken & dumplings tonight, deer chili Sunday.

Damnit! My wife doesn't like Pho. So I haven't had it in years. I gotta go get some soon.

Love it. Used to go to Pho 79 in Carrollton when I worked near there. The main thing that makes it unique is the star anise they use in the broth for flavoring. But like others have said, making it correctly is labor intensive. Traditionally done by making bone broth from oxtail and staying up all night to continually skim off the stuff that rises to the top.
Wife is Vietnamese. We love Pho. We prefer Pho95 or Pho empire. Also if we are going for some really good Vietnamese authentic meals we go to Tanh Tanh on Arkansas and 360 and get the 7 beefs
Brisket pho with lime, basil, jalapeno, alfalfa sprouts, and sriracha is awfully dang good. Can't get enough of that broth!

Thanks fellas! Soup was great. I was a little heavy handed with the black pepper but that’s how I like it. Definitely hit the spot on a cold day.

Like me some pho
I’m out, just don’t get it
I’ve been driven to the “best place” in Saigon and Da-Nang. I don’t hate it, just don’t want anymore.
The first time I had Pho was on Highway 1 south of Danang. We were guarding a bridge and there was a small village located just west of the bridge. We had used grenades to fish for the villagers and they invited us to dinner. Monsoon was in full swing and it was wet and cold, that hot soup was not only good but a welcome relief from C Rats.
Second time was when we were op conned to an ARVN unit, my counterpart an ARVN Platoon Sgt made a pot of it using somme noodles and cans of pork from the C Rats. He used a few of the little Vietnamese chili peppers.

Yeah, I like Pho Pasteur a lot better than Pho 95. I haven't had Pho since the pandemic started...doesn't seem like it's been 2 years. Wow. Pho is GREAT on a cold day! I have taken many of our student workers out for pho. I need to start doing that again.

When I have changed jobs I always check out the pho restaurants that are close by. Pho Bac, in Richardson was a favorite, Pho Que Huong in east Plano, and near Love Field now, Pho Chau on Mockingbird. I have gone often enough to the Pho Chau that they know me by name. Husband and wife operation and I have gotten to know the family over the past 5 years. Good people, good food, good service.
Love it. Always try to hit My Lan in Haltom City when I’m in the area.

If you're eating bland chicken noodle soup, you're not eating at the right Fuh place. Everyone I've ate at the soup was very flavorful, plus I add bean sprouts and slices of jalapeno.
