Been to Antigua once. Once was enough. They’d have to pay me get me there again.

Definitely.

Maybe vacation in Galveston? Bring lighter fluid or mineral oil and shop towels for feet.

How about a family vacation in Odessa?

What didn't you like about it? I have a couple of friends telling me it's nice and I should go. Are they really not my friends?

Jetdad, I thought Antigua was a pit. Dirty and nasty. Nelson’s Dockyard was worth a visit however. So maybe it was worth seeing that one time. They named their one mountain Mount Obama. Maybe that soured me on the island.

What Odessa doesn't have is a bunch of rocks you can climb on and see where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, that was pretty cool to stand on and see.

"On August 4, 2009 Antigua's highest point Boggy Peak was renamed Mount Obama by then-Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer. The change was to honor the 44th U.S. President Barack Obama and recognize him as a symbol of black achievement. The name lasted seven years before Cabinet changed it back to the traditional name Boggy Peak on June 21, 2016."
