Buzz has evolved from guns to cars in his quest to be young again.

M cars are pretty solid, there is a shop up in McKinney to do a ppi. MPorium will take a look, great folks. Had an m4, loved the power but hated the exhaust note. Liked my e92 much better, drove it very hard to 100k with many track days and not a hiccup. They aren’t the same cars as 30 years ago, way more reliable than my POS denali or my wife’s Jeep. My advice would be to get an m3. More doors are better

Just do your research, buy one that’s stock and with a warranty. It’s the little shiz that will eat you alive. Dang Germans over engineer everything.

Buy a toyota and it will be worth what you paid for it unlike guns.

Yes I am a BMW "Expert". There are more BMW's in Corpus Christi than any other city in Texas.

Ask me anything you want to know about them, I've worked on a few.

BMW = Big Mexican Women.

I loved my 528 Sport. It was expensive to maintain, but…Man…what a car. But we moved to the country and I needed a truck. Bought the Tunda, which needed almost zero maintenance, and that was such a shock. I had gotten used to the ongoing BMW maintenance costs, so when all of a sudden I had no expenses to pay for, it felt wrong.

But…I did love that car. Loved the engine sound. Loved the solid feeling at speed. Just marvelous.

Get the checkbook out. All that car joy comes at a price.

After our kids got older my wife moved from Yukon, Yukon Xl when strollers were needed to smaller SUV’s and will never go back to larger ones.

I have bought her Lexus which was a good Suv but high dollar maintenance.

Then got her an Audi, great suv, good handling, with Audi plan so no maintenance cost. Nice car.

Currently she has a 2020 BMW executive package with tons of new technology and she loves it, 4 year maintenance is included, the handling is better than Lexus and Audi and engine performance is the best out of the three. Reliability, I have no idea but she never keeps a car more than 4 or 5 years anyway.

Not sure it matters unless you keep the car longer than 4 or 5 years, great cars to drive though.

My wife drives one. Do not buy one, the resale is awful.

Lease is ok. We are leasing she drives maybe 10k a year.

Go with a Porsche Macan, if purchasing.

Re: BMW experts ??? - 07/29/21 01:53 AM

I had a 323i about 1 years ago

Liked the car but they had/have electrical gremlins.

Expensive to maintain at a dealership......BMW stands for breaking my wallet.

I would own one as long as it was under warranty

YES, the M4 coupe is a good car. They’re like any other car on the road, take care of them and they’ll last you forever.

Honestly with BMW it’s M or nothing.

I can remember when Dingleberry brought the 1st M6 to America in the 80's. 120 on 610 just wasn't an issue. In fact, you had to pay real attention to keeping it from getting there. At the time, the fastest 4 seater on the Autobahn. A real "sleeper" in the street racing game. I am alive.

NO way I would buy a US made BMW. Garbage, disposable cars.

I recently had a new M5 for a week. Their site states 3.2 0-60. It was fun.

Another friend, a couple years ago, ordered an M6 convertible. Several months of waiting and a couple months after delivery he sold it. Didn't like it.
