Arrowheads

Arrowheads - 07/13/21 02:40 PM

Found my first arrowheads the other day! I've spent countless hours searching this place over the past few years and came up empty handed until this weekend. Funny thing is, i wasn't even actively looking when i found the first one, just walked by and it caught my eye. I had it in my hand before it even registered in my brain that it was an arrowhead. Then upon further inspection i found the second one.

I have always heard that arrowheads will just catch your eye. Kinda like finding fish on a graph, where you may see a bunch of things that look like arrowheads (or fish), but when you actually find one your brain just automatically knows. Well that theory has been proven correct in my case.

Pretty stoked about it, and even more so about the quality of them. That first one looks pretty mean. Bet you could slap that puppy on an arrow and take down a deer to this day.

We've found quite a few on our lease here, down by the creek... We found quite a few for just a few months, then about 2 or 3 a year..

Found a few in plowed fields when growing up. Several keepers but most had broken tips.

Hold under a black fluorescent light. Freshly worked flint will show
