I'm coming to Texas in July to visit family. A Allsup's ButtBomb (or 2) is definitely on my to do list.

I used to like pork rinds but now it's beef jerky mostly.

Or corndogs.

I never understood why this is called a burrito - it is a fried burrito, therefore a chimichanga, and yes they are good.

You can take that to the Bank, I tried two on the way to Colorado then tried two more on the way back thinking they would be Extra Good if you know what I mean lets say was very hungry took a bite out of each chunked them out the window went across the street and got a burger.

I have not tasted anything bad that is shown in that picture. It is missing the tamales, sausage on a stick and the hot sausage sandwich wrap which are some of my favorites.

If you guys are ever in Kosse, Tx, on Hwy 7, the gas station on the corner has what we call a ‘redneck happy meal’. It’s a bacon and fried egg toasted sandwich. Terrific stuff, but ya better get there before about 8 am, or 9 am at the very latest. I will, and so will my wife, elbow past you to get the last one.

Club Gas in Ruidoso, full meals.

Like mine in the morning with hot sauce and coffee, they will give you a full charge all day.

RC cola and a moon pie. When loading gas and diesel delivery trucks for Dad, back in the 60’s, I took a break and walked next door to this old store. With money borrowed from Dad, I bought a moon pie and an RC. I started walking back to his bulk plant. Past the bulk plant was a highway intersection, and just as I bit the moon pie I saw a car T-bone at high speed an old pickup at the intersection. I can’t look at a moon pie today without a flashback to seeing that crash. That image is burned into my brain. Nobody was killed, but they were messed up.

I still like moon pies though.

Allsups Chimichanga

I'm a big fan of RC Cola. If I'm eating at a gas station its Dr. Pepper and Alsup's burrito or Honey Bun and hot coffee. You could live on just that and a cold beer here or there.

One of the saddest days of my life is when I went through the drive thru at Rudy's BBQ a while back, ordered food and a large RC Cola, and the cute girl working the window said, "Is Pepsi OK?"

I am also a big fan of RC Cola.

Small jar of peanut butter and corn chips. Better if I have some instant cocoa mix to mix with the peanut butter.

Lots of good options in here so far.

Taco and cheese taquitos from 7-11 are one of my go-to options. They used to have packets of cholula that I would get, but now they just have packets of picante sauce. Either way, I get a handfull of those and load the taquitos. Had some of those as a quick meal on the way to Granbury tonight, they always hit the spot.

Also a big fan of moon pies and RC cola. I also like to get the glass bottle, pure cane sugar DP when I can find them.
