The BBB has tossed Optic Planet's accreditation

I can't comment on the Optics Planet content, but I can comment on the BBB. As a business, you are only "accredited" if you pay them annually for it. There's no rigor to get it, just a credit card number. You're not "accredited" if you don't pay.

You're better off just using Google for a vendor history.

I’ve done two orders with them in the last two months. No issues with either order.

I don't trust the BBB any farther than I can throw them...but, the one order that I have ever placed with Optics Planet was a huge cluster [censored]. And that was pre-covid, so they had no excuse. I haven't given them a second chance.

Optics Planet has been known for shady stuff for years. The best trick they have is showing something in stock only to really be out of stock and backordering on you.

I have 2 bullet orders (500 each) with them hope they ship when in stock.

Signs of a bygone time. I bet if you asked 100 people under 40 what the BBB is, 95 of them would have never heard of it and most would think it's a British TV news station. Same thing for KBB.

I have used them in the past with no problems.

Don't have to trust BBB.......just read the complaints.

I have had BO with them for 10 months. One they recently cancelled saying they wont fill it. I doubt the other will be either. They wont fill orders for more then half what they can sell for now.

Optics Planet is the crappiest company I've ever dealt with. I think I've ordered from them 4 times. 1 went smooth, the other 3 were absolute failures.

I agree. The BBB carried more weight before the days when customers could post their feedback across the Web.

Better off looking elsewhere.

I’ve used them a couple of times shipping was very slow but did receive my products. If I wanted something quick I would order elsewhere.

Optics Planet has been a chit show for years. Nothing new.
