Sick Of The Covid Excuse

I don’t know about you guys but I’m absolutely sick and tired of the damn Covid excuse from everyone,,, the airs dirty—. It because of Covid,, your parts are lost in the mail—- It’s Covid fault, parts are back ordered—- It’s Covid,, customer service is crap—-It’s Covids fault,, Can’t keep a service appointment I’ve had for 3 weeks——It’s Covid fault,, Food Order is wrong—-It’s Covids fault,, Prices are ABSOLUTELY THROUGH THE ROOF—- It’s Covids fault,,Forgot to put air in your new trailer tires—- I’m sorry do to Covid our people are idiots.... I’m sorry for the rant but I’m 100% over the excuses,, everybody is using this Covid crap as a crutch for crapola service and it’s their go to excuse for everything.
Will this ever end or is the outstanding service from all these places here to stay? I’d love to say the heck with these places buts theirs simply to many places I can’t operate without that’s gone to crap!!!!

Yea I know the work force is screwed up and the excuses are warranted but I’m simply sick of it as everyone else is.. At some point these non employed workers will have to find a job when those hand outs stop.. I heard the Covid excuse at least 20 times today, it’s redunkuless

it was either covid or ww3, either way , their great reset is in action. If you think covid is bad, all we got was a taste of what they really had planned for us. They were going to lock us down for at least two years before they offered us the vax. That would of killed the entire global economy. Trump rushed the vax out and exposed them.

I hear you dude! I’ve been trying to spend $20,000.00 the last few days and no one has the item I want, they all say “due to COVID, production is behind” I can’t believe there’s this many people buying this scamdemic chit.

We have everyone working, all jobs filled, and are having difficulty getting certain components. The global supply chain is sort of messed up.

Tin foil hat all you want but even if covid is a conspiracy then the conspiracy is still at fault for things like that. Companies are having problems getting parts and supplies in in all industries.

Do you think if they started believing it was a scam then their supply chain would just start working normally?

I will say though a few companies I work with have stepped up and been outstanding so it’s not all doom and gloom. If anyone’s in the market for Skidsteer or Excavator attachments the Vail X Series company is kicking butt and taking names. Some of the best products made as well to boot. Kinda pricey stuff but they will still be going strong when we’re dead and gone.

For perspective, if each of those 21 container ships were the size of the Evergiven which blocked the Suez canal the length of one ship’s 20’ containers stacked end on end would stretch for 75 miles.
75 x 21 = 1575 miles of containers which would stretch from Los Angeles, CA to Little Rock, AR.

Have a great friend that we use to got to lunch at least once a month taking turns buying. He stopped going out to public places because they (he & his wife) are afraid of COVID and they refuse to get the shot because they believe nobody but the big Pharm knows whats in it and what its real effects are. Dang shame!

Actually around here and Kerrville things are getting pretty much back to normal. There was a really big motorcycle rally here a couple of weeks ago that was the largest I have seen here. You can go anywhere you want without a mask if you want. I have gone to Walmart, HEB, USPS and resturants without one. At some eating places the wait staff does not even have masks on. But if you go to Hondo, Tx everyone has one on.

I make my living selling high-end AGM batteries for solar, RV/marine/aircraft, and industrial applications.

The primary manufacturer that I work with is located in Southern California. Covid has really messed up their production schedules due to employees who want to stay home, shutdown/quaratines, and raw material supply chain delays. Even with two shifts, they are running around 50% production capacity. Add to that, an increasing demand, and the results are some angry OEM customers because they can't ship their product.

Any new large order sent into production has a 12-14 week lead time when it used to be 2 weeks.

Yeah, some of the delays are real and not just incompetence.

I guess I'm not as worldly as most. I'm not seeing very much disruption in my life.

I’ve had near zero disruption in my personal life and minimal in business. I see what everyone else sees. If the supplier of a product has low skilled (paying) jobs, they can not get staffed to get their product out. When they have better paying jobs they typically never missed a step. Basically we can get big ticket industry items like big electric motors, but we may run out of office supplies, etc.

In my personal life the ding dongs at fast food places have always pissed me off, so I’m not sure I can tell the difference.

Marc, all you have to do is tell yourself Covid is a conspiracy and a scam and your orders will start showing up normally. I know that for a fact because I read it on this thread

Oh the delays are real, they’re just not from Covid. They’re from global and federal mandates plus cash handouts.

This started with only essential workers working. You would think the mortality rate from Covid would be higher in said essential workers, I have saw any statistics but I would guess it’s actually lower than the non essentials. No, this isn’t Covid to blame, it’s the government.

If this theory is correct CAT and Dodge have low skilled jobs because I can’t get a new truck or my new equipment built. Maybe true but I’m personally not buying into this idea. We’re having issues from across the board.

Dodge is building the bell out of trucks, they just can’t get a part from another supplier. At least that’s the case with Ford. Trucks are sitting waiting on parts from their suppliers.

Hell, idk, it’s just a theory.

Dodge and CAT both are telling me it’s due to lack of employees not parts, I think their all full of crap myself.

There are a lot of people that are dropping out of the work force, not because of the government benefits, as most have expired. But they have found that working for minimum wage is mostly defeated by paying for transportation and child care. Why work if the dollars go to transportation and the babysitter???

I'm pretty sure he's not saying that at all. What he's saying is the problem shouldn't have gotten to this point at all, hoax or not. It is possible for people to over-react to something that is real.
