The real deal, with egg whites and a LaGloria Cubana.

Nice. That was my ol man the sarges favorite foo foo drink as he called it....It’s been way too long since I’ve had one.
I gotta fix that

2 ounces rye
1.5 ounce egg white
3/4 Oz simple syrup
1 Oz freshemon juice

Shake and pour with strainer. Cherry, orange peel and a few splashes of bitters.

Never had one, but looks excellent.

I prefer Pisco sours but wouldn't turn that down.

I like an Old Fashioned sometimes. I have never had a Whiskey Sour. I need to give it a try.

Simple syrup is easy, 1 cup water simmered over medium heat with 1 cup sugar. Simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add anything else you like. I add cinnamon to mine.

Maybe my number one when I can find it. That bottle has been around a while. The best Booker’s falls from the 124-127 range. I’d say you nailed it.

I was wondering the same thing. I’ll drink old fashions with the best of em, but the spur seems to be even more of an oddball to me. Like Skinnerback, it does look good so I’d try it.

Always thought the whiskey sours to be a lady drink. Maybe I’m wrong. I bet they’ll put your D in the dirt, just like a couple mixed drinks I like.

Booze and sweet and sour is a lady's drink. A true sour is a classic cocktail.

And it offests the acid in the lemon. I judge a bar on their ability to make one. There is one in Tyler that makes a fantastic sour. If they use sour mix I'm out. It and and Old Fashion are the only 2 mixed drinks I'll make. Outside of those two it's neat or on the rocks.

Lady drinks or not, whiskey sours and even amaretto sours are delicious.
