A cop from my hometown in Florida died recently when a guy was fleeing from police. He was waiting on the side of the road in his patrol car when the guy getting chased decided to hit his vehicle at high speed. The cop was suppose to retire the following day. RIP to both officers.

They really should make penalties outrageous harsh for getting behind the wheel intoxicated and killing or injuring someone. I lost a very good friend because he was killed by a drunk driver. Totally avoidable.

My experience is that people who DWI don't have any concern about punishment or responsibility. We could have the death penalty for a first DWI and people would still do it.
