We might have to tighten our belts.

Yes, I am being repetitive, but watch what happens to food availability and pricing.

But I am sure that you are all very prepared with food, water, and supplies already.

Gas and diesel will double by the end of the year if the vaccines actually work.

I just ordered a 15,000 gallon diesel tank and I’m about to stock up before it’s gets much higher.

Yes it is, we burn a lot of fuel and the tank will pay for itself in less than a year so I figured why not buy in bulk, pay for a tank before it’s goes up and have a new tank. I’m currently using a 5,000 gallon tank with 3 1,000 gallon transfer tanks so I’ll have 23,000 gallons in total buying power.

Re: Gas prices - 01/14/21 02:03 AM

Ours had been holding about $2.19 here for a while (6 weeks), but every station in town just jumped to $2.29. But there's no collusion among dealers!!!

I wonder if Granbury is like Glen Rose. Glenn Rose and Hico have highest prices between Dallas and Lampasas. Since I moved to Rockwall from Roanoke I do not drive through Granbury. Oil prices are up so gas is going up. I own stocks in oil companies and since I cut back on driving it does not bother me.

Went up to $2.19 here.

Re: Gas prices - 01/14/21 04:26 PM

Up about $0.50 here over the last few days. I’m afraid manageable prices will now be a thing of the past.

Re: Gas prices - 01/14/21 05:08 PM

Was $2.17 to $2.19 in Burleson and Arlington yesterday. I did see a Valero in Arlington at $1.99 on Matlock, but that has probably changed. I was fortunate and filled up Tuesday night for $1.89. When I bought my new car in September I was debating between the Santa Fe and the Sonata. I was afraid Biden would win and if he did, I knew gas prices would jump. I decided on the Sonata.

Re: Gas prices - 01/14/21 05:11 PM

My fuel supplier told me this morning that fuel prices are heading back up and pretty quickly in the near future according to the producers. I had already ordered my fuel 2 weeks ago so he had no reason to lie to me. I know to the general population it’s simply going to be what it is. He said by the summer most places will be back close to $3 a gallon for gas and over $4 for diesel. I guess since the unknowns in the oil industry upcoming the fear factor of oil is about to set back in.

To make green energy con artistry viable Petro energy has to be expensive.
