Scheels WHY??

Needed some game shears and Havalon replacement blades for my knife and also picked up a few plastic ammo storage boxes. When we get to the register to check out the gal ask as me for my drivers license HUH? Yes she says if your under 18 you can't buy the game shears or replacement blades. I'm almost 65 years old and had to show her my drivers license. I'm pretty sure anyone can tell I'm not even close to 18 years old.
So if your under 18 you can't buy scissors or a knife?

I have found the employees at Scheels are very sincere and friendly. Like Cabela's used to be.

I know it wasn't the gals fault. Company policy or something stupid they have to do, but common sense is out the window.

Ha... I just left there 30 min ago and the older gentleman in front of us had two boxes of 9mm and they carded him as well. He was probably 65 with grey hair must be a store policy where they card you no matter how old you look if buying certain items.

I miss being carded. Maybe I need to go there to feel better about myself

The general population wasn’t so stupid when it was allowed to do what it wanted. Warnings, restrictions, and policies regarding safety are protecting the wrong people.

I got carded for buying spray paint at Wal-Mart. Really? I've got kids older than that cashier LOL.

Bet it has to do with The Mask they check everyone.

It’s just easier to require “check all IDs on these items - no exceptions” than give employees any discretion. Stupid, but the way it is these days.

Check out people are required to put in a year in the register to complete the sale...it's not personal.

Stupid policies......At Bass Pro, and other stores, anyone can walk in wearing a loaded sidearm, no questions asked, but show up with a handgun in a case to go to the range and they have to check everything, get name and phone, even want serial number off gun.

bought ammo there and im 61. Never asked for DL. Guess i didnt age well

Company policy at Cabelas when I sold guns there was to ask everyone if they were American citizens, even if they had a TX drivers license. If they had a CHL we had to check if it was valid, so age check aint no thing
