Covid Collateral Damage

Covid Collateral Damage - 09/24/20 06:51 PM

This year we have been lead to believe that basically all excess mortality seen is due to the virus itself. Unfortunately this simply isn't true. When you artificially restrict access to healthcare, you end up killing people. It is generally accepted you can't stockpile a service.

Unfortunately this doctor stopped short. He forgot to mention the #1 cause of this type of excess death.... governments.

Quote
“In the most recent weeks we can exclude the fact that much of the excess mortality is due to Covid because infection is much lower,” said David Leon, professor of epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. “So what we see is probably more to do with decisions that are being taken by families, by individuals, their GPs and also hospitals’ willingness to admit.”

I read a few weeks ago that if you eliminated COVID deaths that had underlying health issues, in other words a perfectly healthy person before the illness, the actual number of deaths from COVID ALONE in the US was less than 10,000.

I’m not sure you can have a career that many of us can’t spell. Isn’t there a rule?

You can read and find any "facts" about anything on the web.

A new study out of Japan just came out which seemingly shows the same thing based on seroprevalence data. The CDC has said the IFR here in the US for covid is around .6%.

Now compare our possible .6% IFR with that from the Tokyo study which estimates the IFR in Japan my be as low as .0006%.

Interestingly Japan has a higher mortality rate from the seasonal flu than we do here in the US. Both respiratory infections, but obviously very different risk factors at play.

Quote
Assuming an infection rate of 40 % within the Tokyo urban population (14 million), the infection fatality rate (IFR) during this period could potentially be as low as 0.0006%, which is as low as the lowest IFR observed among teens in Switzerland4. Future studies may consider evaluating whether lifestyle/habits, viral strain, the widespread use of masks, and/or host factors such as immunological memory are responsible for the observed low fatality. Dated a girl who was studying the epidemiology once. Sucked, the things I couldn't get her to do. She didn't like the fact that I told after my years of service I might be immune to everything. rofl

Well if you just back calculate using CDC data you will get the true answer which is fairly simple calculation. Care to do that for us?

I will even provide the all the data you need. Use 200k observed covid deaths and the CDC data below.

It's analogous to saying a person that died WITH HPV died FROM HPV (as splained to me by a doc)

It's a shame that snake oil is still sold by the government.

At last a quick home test for COVID 19.

I tried this Covid-19 Test with instant results and it truly works!

A new and easy test for the horror of Covid-19 is doing the rounds and it's simple, quick and positive (or negative if you see what I mean).

Take a glass and pour a decent dram of your favorite whisky into it; then see if you can smell it. If you can, then you are halfway there.

Then drink it. If you can taste it then it is reasonable to assume you are currently free of the virus because the loss of the sense of
smell and taste is a common symptom.

I tested myself 7 times last night and was virus free every time, thank goodness.

I will have to test myself again today because I have developed a throbbing headache which can also be one of the symptoms.

I'll report my results later.

Someone on THF, can't remember their name, said that on November 4th you won't hear any more about covid. I'll put up a little wager. $500 bet, any takers?

I like what Rand Paul had to say yesterday. At the 3 min mark.
