The first picture is in my groomed part. The second is in a low area. I'd have to take yet a third which would knock your socks off.

Dang Ben. Your wife tends to the grass rather well.

Looks like my lawn pulled through a hot dry summer in m pretty good shape. I still need to throw a fall layer of compost to give it some extra energy come spring time.

Derek has been instrumental to my yard success. He’s the reason the neighbors hate me because the wives always tell them why doesn’t our yard look his.

Yep Colt getting big, and yea you're probably right. I fly a big American flag on the side of my house, I'd have to have to pull all those tiny flags, mow and edge then put them all back LOL.

The rest of yard needs help. But it will be fixed next spring.

Takes awhile to mow with the wife on the riding mower and me on the tractor mowing. Country living wouldn't have it any other way.

Here is a photo of my back yard and caladiums. You can plant them in the ground or in pots. I shared a few bulbs, along with some vegetables to a friend several years. He thanked me by emailing me a picture of the plants in pots near his vegetable garden.

Had one for years. If you have hybrid Bermuda grass it's the only mower to use. It will make your lawn look like a putting green.

Do those things handle the summer well? I need to find something to put in the flowerbed in the front yard that will handle the heat. I have failed the last two years.

I love it. Went from a 2" height of cut last year with a rotary mower to a 3/4" cut this year. Once I scalp and dethatch next spring I am going to go to a 1/2" cut.

I'd love to have that, but I have St. Augustine and my yard is way to uneven for something like that. Going from one side to the other that thing would dig a trench in my yard because of elevation changes LOL.

Some type of hybrid bermuda. I didn't plant it so not sure the type. Backyard has about 25% common mixed in. The hybrid is slowly taking it over though. The color difference between the hybrid and common next to each other drives me crazy.

My front yard is so uneven from the builder. This spring I’m getting a couple tons of mason sand to even out the yard.

Ranchman for the win lol

My yard looks like hammered dog scat right now. Pretty much was down to bare dirt a few weeks ago except the laterals on my septic then we got about 3 inches of rain and its starting to grow again. Wife started mowing it yesterday broke the rider and finished with the push mower so its half azzed grown back and cut at two different heights crazy

Lot of beautiful lawns here

Love for all. Harried for none. I'm not making this up. Use rationalization. Tell your friends that your yard looks its best just before it needs mowed.

Re: Let’s see those lawns - 09/18/20 08:54 PM

When people come over, they often make nice references about the lawn. If Wifeypoo is not within earshot I will tell them it takes hours and hours of work to keep it that way.

Re: Let’s see those lawns - 09/19/20 02:08 AM

I spent a few $100 on water keeping the yard looking sharp. But while working in the garage during the 105+ weather we had for a few weeks, I somehow knocked the power supply loose for the sprinkler timer. About half of the lawn died in just over a week before I realized what was going on. So no pictures of dead grass, it ain't coming back this year.

Strange thing about caladiums in our yard. We have those like in the picture and the deer ate them down to the ground. Then we have the ones that are a deep red color in the center with light green around the leaf and the deer did not touch them.
