Love me my Earl and really liked watching Ricky run, but this is utterly ridiculous. The absurdity of this placation is at an outstanding level.

DKR did a lot more for TU than OU. Your reasoning is akin to those who want to destroy monuments - disregard the overwhelming good done by a person and concentrate on a pimple on his buttox.

If I had gone there I would be really mad. The type of people that go there are the type of people protesting. All the alumni are probably really proud now.

The problem is Darrell Royal was White so he has to go....

It will still remain to be DKR Memorial Stadium. The field itself is currently named Joe Jamail Field and will be renamed after Ricky and Earl. I have no issue with it as these two were the best 2 running backs to ever wear the burnt orange.

Blame the family of alumni booster that the field is currently named after, Joe Jamail Field as they requested the university to rename the field to more represent diversity and inclusion. Unless this was forced on them by the university, not sure I see any harm in renaming the field, not the stadium itself.

Looks like this is all working out for me. I love the song and DKR along with Earl, and Ricky was a great player.

The further the pendulum swings in one direction the further it travels coming back. The hypocrisy of all this nonsense will be noted at some point in the future. Hopefully before we are wiped away from existence completely.

Yep, the one nonnegotiable was the Eyes of Texas. We would of canceled our season tickets. When my son sent me the link yesterday I skimmed over everything else till I found what they were gonna do with the eyes of Texas.

The best part of this is that the ones they are trying to appease will never dig in their pockets and pay for an actual ticket to the games.

I think the UT Alumni should pony up and pay for every foreign and student of color with Free tuition. Also change the name of school to "Animal House".
