You test more, you get more positives... cool damp environments are a virus' safe haven, so not really a surprise... how many of those 300 had/have debilitating symptoms?

So? Should we panic about it or something? Wear a mask and don’t pick your nose. That’ll fix it.

The meat packing industry apparent correlation needs to be looked at closely.

All of them shop at Hwy 75 & 82, same major stores i shop at, no mask for me.

So they had it, get well and get back to work, its a version of the flu. Sad to say if your older and have health issues the outcome can be very different.
Testing is for that split second in time only and has no bearing on tomorrow.
I'm so fed up with this crap.

Good info in that article. This was interesting:
“ When one pork processing plant in Missouri began working with the state health department to test its workforce, more than 370 employees tested positive. All of them were asymptomatic.”

At work we have a sign that says "congratulations we have had 0 covid cases"........... I want to walk in and ask how many have been tested. We have worked straight through this chet, and I would bet all that I have, that if they did antibody testing a good chunk of us have been exposed to the virus at some point.

Really enjoying all these responses.

It doesnt matter if you die. Its when they slide that intubation tube down your throat and hook you up to a machine to keep you alive. Then you wish you were dead.

I'm glad and happy for those are back to work. If I was young had 2-3 kids, mortgage, expensive hobbies, I'd be chittin bricks too.

One thing that makes me sick is how political this has become. But typical of both sides

Glad we are in America, where you can start going back to work, I can choose to social distance, wear a mask to protect others. Mostly to protect me

Until a vaccine is available, anything that promotes herd immunity is a step in the right direction. Otherwise, the spreading never stops.

The current death rate for the US is 6 100ths of a percent. 46% of this number is nursing home deaths........factoring only deaths outside of nursing homes equals 1 person or less out of three hundred.

This brings our total confirmed case count in Grayson County to 316. To date, we have one hundred and ninety cases recovered, seven hospitalized, two deceased, and 117 remain in home isolation.

When you look at death rates, should you not look at closed cases? Otherwise you are comparing apples and oranges, deaths are closed (numerator), your denominator should be closed as well. Here is what those numbers look like, world meter, I know China website that can't be trusted but it is the same info as US websites.. World probable less because of less reported deaths because of covid. I'm not saying these numbers are right or wrong, just showing the data that is out there.
