Gettin a beat down and sirens in every direction here in spring.’ Saw the back yard ez up levitating before it went over the fence, hopefully I don’t have to buy a window. Power is out as well.

I've been waiting on this to happen. It just missed my house. The tree man urged me to hake. The tree down 25 years ago.

I'm not sure a cordless chainsaw will get the job done. Guess I will call the man.

That sucks bill! Heard a couple big trees split around here, luckily no casualties for us.

No big problem. I lost another smaller limb from that 100 plus year old three several years ago. I have a real good friend named Whitewing Manic who helped me cut that one up. This one is on my south side of the house. Out of sight, out if mind.

Dang, I hate to see that Bill.

We got nailed by hail, my plumeria, and oak trees got wrecked..... oh well, they will grow back.

My neighbor's tree wasn't so lucky neither was his truck.

Learn the Bring It lesson kids. Don't be stupid and take it down early! Saved my head or house last year taking one down early. Lady down street is in a wheel chair in her 40s due to this from her neighbor. Don't be a dumb arse!!!! Neighbor across the street needs to do this now to their pecans. They will kill or smash a car soon. They are pretty though but at someone else's cost.

Thanks for your kind offer. My tree man will cut it up and haul it off. Some good tree is left and it is facing away from the house.

The tree man's name is Decook. Didn't have spell check when I saved his name.

Bill, I’ll bet there is a firewood or cooking wood guy that would pay you for that pecan tree. I’d sell that tree.

When I got home yesterday we cut that tree off of our neighbors truck. Everyone is up early today picking up the peices.

Location, location, location. Similar situations all over my side of town. Most subdivisions are named Pecan (fill in the blank).

Glad we did get any winds like that. We actually got nothing but a short sprinkle and some lightning last night. 2 bigs storms parted and went around us. I see 2 large thunderheads already building to the northwest. Maybe get some this afternoon.

Sorry to hear this Bill. I got an oak tree in my back yard, 2 huge branches going over my house, I like them becuase they shad my house and keep it cooler in the summer, but a big storm could send them crashing on my house, I need to cut them not risk it any more!

Re: Heads up Houston area! - 05/28/20 09:21 PM

My good buddy TexasLefty stayed after me until I broke down and bought a cordless chainsaw a couple weeks ago. Hadn't ever. Put oil in. It. Gave me an opportunity to try it. Got er done. Also, a city boy was visiting my neighbor and ask for some pecan wood.
