What better name for a company that's going to compete with Tesla than "Nikola Motors"?

Ostensibly looking to draw on all of the good aspects of the Tesla name, while not associating themselves with a CEO who calls national heroes 'pedos', threatens journalists or puts forth fake buyout bids for his company, Nikola Motors has slowly grown into a formidable hybrid truck design company that's based in Phoenix.

And yesterday, the company announced its competitor to Tesla's Cybertruck: the Nikola Badger.

980 Ft Lbs of Torque, 906 surge HP 455 continuous HP, 600 Mile Range, 8k towing capacity. I Would think it could tow more than 8k. Compared to what's out there in EV trucks, this one is badazz.

They offered Tesla the body style when Tesla announced its truck because of all the bad press. This one looks infinity times better than Tesla’s.

I saw the specs. It is a hybrid. Still cool though.

Do they give u an adapter in order for me to charge it at tesla’s superstation, or do i need to go home and charge it for 6 hours each time?

Tesla advertises a range of 330 miles. Countless tests on youtube proves the TRUE range to be only 240 miles, and thats not driving in ludicrous mode, and from 100% full to 0%. Another thing you may find out is that the superstations NEVER charge them batteries more than 80% full and you are supposed to refill the battery prior to 20% empty to maintain a longer battery longevity, which leaves you with 60% of that 330 miles which is not even 200 miles. If you constantly floor it, you will end up with 150 miles or so. I drive 40 k a year, so no thanks.

If you had charging stations at each gas station in america, the EV market would soar from 2% to 20% within 2 years, easy.

Tesla parts after warranty, are extremely expensive. Brakes, info system in the thousands. Replacing a headlight? $1000.

Tesla are currently only beneficial for desperate housewives who drive them 10 k a year and dump them after 5-7 years. When the cars break down, they have to tow it to the closest service center (only one in N Texas) and you will have to wait days, weeks till you get yours back.

The hybrid portion is hydrogen power via fuel cell. That’s one reason why it has the range that it does.

An electric pickup is stupid unless its for a urban dweller snowflake who is too stupid to realize that be it electric, gas, or diesel....it still is powered by oil....unless they can make solar panels work at night and windmills work of calm days....
