I had a package from Austin to here in Conroe.
Austin, Dallas, <in transit for 4-5 days> then Elk Grove, Illinois, then back to austin, then Houston and then Conroe.

My wife works for the USPS and their office runs pretty dang smooth.. it has a lot to do with the post master and other things a lot of the time. Im not saying they never have issue or things but all in all compared to other office theirs is oretty good and on top of things.. I have had and know other that have the same or more issue with Fed Ex and UPS..

Many of the handling mishaps I've experienced are directly related to the Coppell Distribution Center. The remaining problems all stem from my inconceivably incompetent mail carrier. She forgets to deliver a package (frequently) and will put "returned to PO at the request of the customer for pickup" on the tracking information even though she hasn't contacted me. Why does she get to keep her job?

Yep, seems like the Coppell center is the common link in most of the problems I've seen. But our carrier is pitiful too!

My wife is a post master, while they do run across issues, it operates fairly smooth on the local level.

You don't happen to live on the dividing line between Coppelll and Mesquite do you?

Growing up I lived on Sunflower Street. There was a Sunflower Drive in the same zip code that gave a lot of confusion. Ordered pizza never came to the right address.

Those two cities are 30 minutes, or more maybe, apart with Dallas roughly "in between".

I thought this was normal for the USPS. We have at least 3 different carriers on just about any given week, I live at 4400 Willow Bend but there is another address 4400 Valley Ranch Road that you can see from my mailbox and it confuses the heck out of them. It's a good thing we are friends as we carry mail back and forth 3 or 4 times a month.

After punching three holes through a new Sony flatscreen (not just the box) and then throwing a little packaging tape over the holes, our USPS lady attempted to off-load a TV. Fortunately I drove up just as she was closing her vehicle and thanked her just as I watched her toss the tape into the back...



Needless to say she took the box back with her and I did not pay a dime.

UPS took out my cousins mailbox today. They stopped and took pics luckily so that was a $300 mistake!

Ordered truck parts a few weeks ago. Those parts were carried by FedEx from California to the Dallas area in a couple of days.
Then USPS took over. Took the Post Office 4 or 5 days to get it here in east Texas.

No, I'm so stupid. LOL

Unbelievable. Well, sadly it really isn't.

that's the sad part of the whole effen thing.
it's about where you have to get online and order whatever you want,
and it's nearly that way with groceries of all things.
what blankety-blanken good does it do to wait for
something to be delivered when it arrives mangled
and strangled and you have to make a claim, re-order
the blankety-blanker, stay on hold for 45 minutes while
you're waiting your turn to speak with some customer
service dingaling, etc. etc. ? ? ?

i don't see any convenience mail ordering anything at all

I had a toll pass in my car and when I moved I sent it back to them as instructed in their little foil wrapper in a box. I ended getting a bill for crossing the bridge about 30 times to the tune of hundreds of dollars. After a bunch of calls they figured out the package fell behind the seat of the usps jeep and kept going back and forth across the bridge day after day. lol

The USPS got me again, lucky I had my health insurance set to auto renew. My renewal package was post marked 10/17/2019 and arrived 12/11/2019. Almost 2 months to get an envelope from Tennessee to Texas. Another well run government program.

USPS seems to be pretty good compared to the other IMO. The delivery drivers have more skin in the game. I have been using fed ex also and its terrible. Fed ex uses a lot of bait and switch tactics and will charge one price for delivery , over the next month that one charge changes and keeps going up.

Can't wait for the government to take care of health insurance for us all.

Just look at VA. Piece of cake. No problem.

I had purchased two museum worthy antique photos from a lady in California. She was older and only knew USPS. I tried to get her to use FedEx or UPS. It took three weeks to get them. I was a nervous wreck even before they were sent.
